So I've been looking through the codex and playing around with the different configurations that I could put together. Just the thought of having two Furioso Dreadnoughts with wings (using psychic test of course) sounded too cool. I would want to play atleast two of them :). So I decided to field an army that was based around not only those two dreads, but also mephiston. Although he doesn't have an invul. save, he can be pretty bad ass if you can play him behind cover, armored transports, etc. So with those two things in mind, I've come up with this list so far.
Mephiston
2 Furioso Dreadnoughts w/extra armor
2 Sanguinary Priests (1 with a jump pack)
2 Assault Squads w/infernus pistol, power fist
3 Assault Squads (no packs) w/infernus pistol, power fist
2 Razorbacks w/TL Assault Cannon
1 Razorback w/ TL Las Cannon
2 Baal Pred w/extra armor, Heavy Bolter sponsons
This leaves me around 1840 points. I know that the assault squads end up only being 5 man units, but my basic plan of attack here is to run the two assault squads with packs along with a sang. priest and mephiston (who would fleet to try to keep up, but still using as much cover as possible). The 3 assault squads in the razorbacks along with the 2nd sang. priest. Then a 3rd flank with the Baal preds and 2 furioso dreads. I would have enough armor to hide Mephiston behind for atleast 2 tuns before he engages in CC. Plus with the firepower of 4 assault cannons, 1 las cannon, possible two lances (from dreads), that would help tie up any infantry and armor before my assault squads can get in close. Or stay back to hold objectives, depending on what is needed.
Of course this all looks great on paper until a play test. As I am not one to play often or much, I will have to dust off my stuff from the closet and play test it to see what it is like.
Comments or opinions on the list and strategy?

Blood Angels: All Death Company Army
So I have always been intrigued with an all death company army. For years with my past blood angels army I have toyed with the idea of making and entire army, but never did so as I would have to roll off for each squad to see if members of the squad fell to the black rage. But now with the new codex, I can field or build an entire army. Only problem is that I will not be able to hold or contest any objective markers. But what the heck, I'm a fluff type player and I really don't care for objectives.
If I were playing an entire death company army, my main and only objective is to kill my opponents and wipe them off the table. As cool as it may sound to field an enitre death company army, I wonder if it is worth while doing. The units end up becoming way overpriced and the army doesn't end up looking like an army. More like a gathering for a warband than an army.
Just a simple list:
Astorath the Grim
Chaplain w/power fist, jump pack
1 unit of 10 DCM w/jump packs, 2 infernus pistol, 1 power fist, 1 power wpn
2 units of 10 DCM w/2 infernus pistol, 2 power fist, 1 power wpn
2 Rhinos w/extra armor
2 DCDread w/ blood talons
2 Droppods
This ends up being around 1850pts. Not alot of stuff at all for an army. Only 2 vehicles for moving cover, 2 vehicles dropping in, and 20 on foot, 12 with jump packs. They can pack a punch for their size, but are very vulnerable until they get into combat. I'm sure there are much better ways of configuring the list to be more effective, but truthfully any way you configure an all DC army, you will struggle to find the right pieces to make the army complete. There just simply isn't enough points left into making this army a contender. But who knows, maybe this army will be under estimated due to the sheer small scale of the army.
Even though the army might not be competitive, it still won't stop me from wanting to build an all DC army. It's just too cool to field and cause mass destruction in hand to hand combat. Maybe once I get my order in, I'll build a half size army to start and play test it to see how it plays out on the battlefield.

Project Updates
Well I've been pretty busy this past week with commission work on the DKoK unit as well as the White Scar Commander. I still have finishing touches on the WS Commander and the DKoK unit. I also started working on the Leman Russ for the DKoK army. All this tagged along with trying to get my own business up and running. What a hectic week which is full of stress and headaches. But I still have to get the work done, so check out the pic below to see the current stage of the WS and DKoK unit.
The TH, SS, PW, and banner are all magnetized so you can swap out weapons or have no SS on the model. The head (pictured on lower left) is being worked on and will set into place once finished.

DKoK Squad Update
Well, I''ve been plugging away at this commission for the last couple of days and communicating with the client on NNM or metallics and he wanted NNM. So I started working on it a little bit on the models finished up the 5 man block I was working on. I have 1 more highlight on the pants and gloves, and I have to finish up the aquila eagle on the helmet as well certain parts of the back pack. Then the models are done. I still have another set of 7 DKoK infantry I am working on. Cloaks are almost done. I will post pics when the entire unit is finished.
The second image is for the DKoK tank that the client want painted. I just started working on the turrent and really did about 1 major highlight and 1 shadow. Still more to do though.
The client also asked for a custom 6" x 8" movement/display tray. I am going to make it to allow all 12 infantry troops to fit on. I will be picking up the materials needed and keep you posted on that as well.

DKoK Commission
I've been pretty busy this week so far. Lots of things to paint, but so little time. I'm still working on a White Scars commander for a friend of mine. It was the GD special marine with TH model. I had to hack off the TH and magnetize it to the shaft which was a pain because the magnets I had were either too small and weak or just strong enough, but too big. Well, I've got it somewhat figured out now and I've converted and greenstuffed alot to fix it to look good. The model is about 85-90 percent complete.
But I've also been working on some DKoK models for a client that has commissioned me. He sent me some stuff earlier this week to paint up for him and I will be doing ALOT of models as it it IG we are talking about here. But I don't care that there may be dozens upon dozens of models to paint, because the models are from FW and those paint so easily. Almost by themselves. Below is a unit of 5 models I am currently working on. There are 12 models in total, so the next batch will be the other 7 models. Coats are about 95% done minus the interior brown. Some base coating done on boots, helmet, gloves, and weapon. Will get to highlighting those tonight.
Critiques and comments are always welcome. Enjoy
