Heroes of Armageddon: Furioso Dreadnought II

So I'm working feverishly on the Dreadnought to get it completed and out of the way. He is almost done as I only have to really work on the shin plates, blood talons, and minor details here and there. Otherwise, it's about 85-90 percent done.

Next thing is to finish all the assault marines by tomorrow night, then finish up the SR by Thursday evening (major things). I'll leave the weekend and early next week to minor details here and there to finish up and close out this project.

If you haven't already, please click on the donation tab on the top right to have your chance at winning the models that I'm painting which will belong to a total of 3000 points of Blood Angels pooled together by some great painters. Not only do you get a chance to win the Blood Angels army, but 3 other armies as well. So what are you waiting for.....GO DONATE some extra for a better chance of winning. I only wish I were able to enter to win  :(

Heroes of Armageddon Project Update

So I've been pretty busy working on the models for the project and playing Rift with Jawaballs. It's amazing how I forgot the amount of time that MMO consumes. All that time was spent playing online versus getting the project complete and done. Oh well, lesson learned. I'll be playing less Rift and more painting for the week.
Anyways, on to the good stuff.....pictures.

Tried something new and unique: Triple thrusters!

I will try to squeeze the entire project to be finished by this Friday before the weekend since it will be 4th of July. Otherwise, it will be completed by early next week.

Heroes of Armageddon: Storm Raven WIP

Just some quick WIP shots of the Storm Raven. I have the left side hatch door where I started to paint the 3rd Company Blood Angels symbol. The right side hatch is done, but I will not show that until Jawaballs posts up the teasers on Friday or so. Front cockpit armor is pretty much done with exception to minor detailing.

Once everything is done will be the scary part. I plan on chipping and rusting everything. I hope I don't mess it up too badly.

Remember to help support our cause and check out the main 'Heroes of Armageddon' blog page found HERE.  To help and support 'Doctors without Borders', please click on the drop menu on the top right of my blog to donate towards the cause. Each dollar you donate to support the cause will give you a chance to win 1 or 4 beautifully painted armies.

Heroes of Armageddon: Storm Raven WIP

So it's been awhile since I've posted about anything. What can I tell you....I was distracted with the NBA Playoffs and Finals. Huge Jason Kidd fan and wanted to really see him win a ring. GO MAVS! World Champs! But anyways, now that the NBA Finals are over, I can get back and focus on the models that I have to finish building and painting for the Heroes of Armageddon project.

I still have some WIP shots of the assault squad and dreadnought, but thought I'd share some pics I took with my new camera of the Storm Raven. Not completed, but getting there. It's such a huge model to paint. I should have just brought out the airbrush sooner, but too late now. Below you can see two images of the front cockpit area. The model is not glued together yet so don't worry I can still put the twin multi-melta in its rightful place. I've pretty much painted the way it's going to look in its final form, with the exception of a wash which will bring the highlights down just a bit to a more red look.

Your thoughts, should I keep it clean or chip the edges and dirty it up a little?
