Nurgle Plaguebearers
So it's been quite awhile since my last update, but some good news.....I got pics for you :)
Going ahead with my last post on doing the nurgle/tzeentch daemon army, I broke out some boxes of nurgle plaguebearers and got to work. The first pic has 14 plaguebearers in it. You'll notice a slight difference in color from the back row to the front row. That's because I used the 'dipping method' on the back row, matte varnished, and devlan mud washed it. The first row was just base coated, watered down (really watered down) paint for pink areas, then straight devlan mud wash. Please comment which you like better if you can see clearly enough on the small pic. If requested, I'll throw up some bigger pics for comparison.
The next few shots are more plaguebearers getting ready for primer and paint, unit of BA marines (including the dread from first pic) I'm painting up to throw up on ebay. PM/email me if you want to make an offer. I'll sell it to you instead of putting it on ebay, then we both won't have to worry about ebay's ridiculous surcharges. Pics of comission work (BT dread), and my current work shelf with stuff in WIP. Alot has been just sitting there and this shelf gets cleared and full again about every 3-4 weeks LOL. Enjoy the pics and leave comments...I'll throw up some zoomed in shots on request.

Daemon List
So after playing around with the list and re-reading through the book/codex, I totally forgot that with the poisoned wpns, I can re-roll failed to wounds on marines...wouldn't have made a big difference I guess since my plaguebearers didn't do a whole lot of CC last game. But now I started to rethink my strategy a bit with coming up with a decent list.
The Epidemius rule is kind of begging me to try out that list so I decided to do a Nurgle/Tzeentch list instead of a full four gods list. Here it is:
Papa Nurgle- 165
Epidemius- 110
Herald of Nurgle w/Unholy might, cloud of flies, palanquin- 80
3 flamers of tzeentch- 105
3 flamers of tzeentch- 105
14 plaguebearers- 210
14 plaguebearers- 210
14 plaguebearers- 210
10 horrors- 185
2 daemon princes w/flight, iron hide, mark of nurgle, unholy might, cloud of flies- 450
1 daemon prince w/iron hide, mark of nurgle, unholy might, cloud of flies- 165
total of 1995 points
I would be mainly using the plaguebearers for holding objectives, DP's and papa nurgle and herald would be attacking anything they can, flamer units and horrors just to harass and annoy the opponent. I think this list brings out alot of toughness and will annoy any player with the invul. saves, followed by feel no pain on troops, marine saves and then invul saves on DP's, 4 MC, plus the special rule of Epidemius. I will have to play test this army to see how it fares. Vehicles should not be as much problem like last game (i hope). I just hope that the slow and purposeful rule on some of my units won't hurt me that badly. We shall see.
To finish off the 4 gods list, I would probably be playing a 4k game with the other 2k being khorne and slaanesh. Cheers.

Daemon Battle Report
Today was the first day the daemons on the warp were unleashed at the local gaming club. The list I ran with was: Skull Taker, The Masque, 15 Bloodletter unit, 16 Bloodletter unit, 12 Daemonettes unit, 12 Daemonettes unit, 14 Plaguebearer unit, 1 Soulgrinder with Phlegm, 1 Daemon Prince, 5 Fiends of Slaanesh.
Starting off, the "gods" of chaos were not favoring my army as my secondary group, the group that was meant for the second attack wave for cleaning up the mess, was warped onto the field. I had the 15 Bloodletter unit w/Skulltaker, 16 Bloodletter unit, 12 Daemonette unit, 5 Fiends of Slaanesh coming into the battlefield. All scattered backwards toward me....ALL units scattering 7 inches every time!!! Curse the "gods".
No shooting was done on my turn and turn two began with Bobby's Ultramarines shooting like crazy. When the smoke cleared, I had roughly half of the 16 Bloodletter unit dead. Assault followed where a Dreadnought charged into my Daemonettes. I would lose 3 or so in that combat.
On turn 2, the fury of the "gods" was revealed as all my other units in reserve came spitting out of the warp to revenge their fallen comrades. But the "gods" would curse me again when my DP, one or two models that I had that could do serious damage to any vehicle, was trapped in the warp never to be seen again. And to make matters worse, the 2nd Daemonette unit w/The Masque lost their way in the warp and ended up in the corner of the battlefield with nothing around except for the objective straight ahead which would take until the end of the game to reach. No cover to go through either!
Battling round by round, the daemonettes that was tied up by the Dreadnought finally were freed after the Soul Grinder came to assist in blowing up the Dread in round 4. The most interesting part of the battle came at during the last two turns when my 2nd Daemonette unit fleeted and charged a unit of 5 marines holding their objective. After killing off the marines bottom of turn 6, I would consolidate them next to the objective and contest for a draw.
Yet again, the "gods" curse me by allowing a 7th turn. A second unit of marines would assault my daemonettes and wither them down to only The Masque and 2 daemonettes. On my side of the table, the marines would charge 13 of my plaguebearers holding the objective...making them consolidate into combat...and out of range of the objective!!!!! This last motion of heroism by the Ultramarines would see them victorious and the demons to be shamed in their first battle.
All in all, Bobby somewhat under-estimated my Bloodletters which ripped through his command unit and Sicarius by turn 2. Gotta love those hellblades. My weakest point was the fact that I could do nothing against his vechicles. I may drop the 2nd unit of daemonettes, seekers, plaguebearers and throw in another DP with some flying melta bomb units. Having the bloodletters soak up all the shots was pretty bad, but I'm going to stick with them only for their furious charge with power wpns....at 3 attacks a piece at str. 5 is on the charge is no joke.....even without the charge....ask Sicarius....nvm, he's dead :)
I would also like to try out either a Bloodthirster or just keep what i've got and add some flamers and pink horrors as well. I'd have to play test many times to configure the army I've got to work, but hey that's how you make unbeatable armies right?! Either way, win or lose, the "gods" of chaos are happy and I am back in the warp....brewing up ideas for another attack with some modifications.

Daemon Army
Just a small update with some pics of my daemon army taking shape. The first two pics are of my test piece of the bloodletters. I'm probably going to replace the NMM on the sword handle with plain metallic gold just for ease and speed to get the army painted and done. The last two pics are of some WIP daemonettes and a pile of roughly 30 bloodletters that are built. No bases for them yet as I'm casting resin bases to match the one in the first two pics. I'm also starting to work on a Daemon Prince made from the Inquisitor scale marine. More to come soon.

Sorry for the lack of updates that last few days. I have been very busy over the weekend with sword training and have not got anything done. Atleast nothing spectacular to show. I'm still progressing slowly with GSing the warp for the duel entry. I need to figure out a better way to sculpt this dam thing. I'm almost about to give up on it and sculpt out of super sculpey and then to make a mold and cast it...but my only concern is that it will be too heavy. I'll stick with it for now i guess. More updates to come shortly, just wanna make a good impression I guess on the next update instead of just some blah pics.

NMMSE
Warp!
Ok, so I started to putty out some of the warp and I'm actually not liking the way it is looking so far. But then and again, I've only done a very small section. I will continue the process until about 1/4 section is done and post it to get your opinion on whether I should finish it or not.
Other than that, I need a slight break from all the GD non-sense so I'm gonna paint up and finish the TS marine. Plus I've been kind of itching to play a game since I haven't played in ages. I've been running a rough list of Codex: Daemons. Nobody at the local gaming club is playing this army and I thought I'd have a shot at it.
So far my list is made up like this:
Herald of Khorne (70), Juggernaut (35), Icon (25)= 130pts.
Herald of Khorne (70), Unholy Might (15)= 85pts.
Bloodcrushers of Khorne (Unit of 7= 280), Instrument of Chaos (5)= 285pts.
Bloodletters of Khorne (Unit of 16= 256), Instrument of Chaos (5), Icon (25)= 286pts.
Bloodletters of Khorne (Unit of 15= 240), Instrument of Chaos (5)= 245pts.
Daemonettes of Slaanesh (Unit of 12=168, Instrument of Chaos (5)= 173pts.
Daemonettes of Slaanesh (Unit of 12=168, Instrument of Chaos (5)= 173pts.
Soul Grinder (135), Phlegm upgrade (25)= 160pts.
Daemon Prince (80), Mark of Khorne (15), Iron Hide(30)= 125pts.
Daemon Prince (80), Mark of Slaanesh (10), Iron Hide (30), Sporific Musk (20), Pavane of Slaanesh (30)= 170pts.
Total of 1,832 points
Group 1: Herald on Juggernaut incl./Bloodcrushers, Bloodletters w/Icon, 2 Daemon Princes
Group 2: Bloodletters unit, 2 Daemonettes Units, Soul Grinder
I'm thinking that I won't have alot of models to soak up the firepower, but if placed right, I've got 3 out of 4 units that have Iron Hide (3+ armor save) plus Inv. Svs. The only weak unit would be the bloodletters, but I'm only bringing them in because of the the icon for my other units from reserve. I could always swap out the bloodletters unit in group 1 and substitute it with the Soul Grinder as he can be atleast 36" away to use his Phlegm attaack which is Str. 8 AP 3 Blast. Thoughts?

Duel Update
So I feel like I got alot done today for some reason. Even though only a few things got done. I guess it's just the mind set and the thought complications of how to bring thought to reality that has made it feel like such a big accomplishment today. Anyway, I began work on the scenic base for the duel entry. Nothing too fancy since I don't wanna draw attention away from the maine scene. I also started working on the chaos sorcerer model (pic 2), but once he's almost fully built, I'm gonna have to saw chipping away and taking pieces off of him. The last thing I did so far was trying to make the warp with demons and what-not. Much harder than I originally thought, but you'll see what it looks like in the pics below. I tried to do something similar to the picture, but with my own twist. Enjoy and leave feedback/comments!

Another Update
So its been awhile since I updated what I've done so far. I haven't done much, but just wanted to post something up for all of you. The librarian now has a head and some cables running on the sides of his body. As for the DP/SG (still haven't decided which to enter it as) is now fully bi-pedal...just need to putty in details on the back side to hide the ugly stuff. Librarian is standing next to him as a size comparison.
Please comment on last picture if you want him as a demon prince or soul grinder. THX!
